“This Is How We Roll”
*Student Transportation Eligibility and Guidelines*
Marble Falls ISD provides transportation for eligible students between their residence of record and their assigned campus. Students are assigned to a designated bus stop based on the address listed in the district’s student information system.
Each student is assigned to one bus and one designated bus stop unless an exception is approved by the Transportation Department.
Transportation Eligibility
Bus transportation is available to:
- Students who live two or more miles from their assigned campus.
- Special education students when transportation is determined necessary through the Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) process.
- Approved transfer students who have been assinged to a designated pool stop location.
Locations Not Eligible for Transportation
Transportation is not provided to or from:
- A friend’s or relative’s residence
- A babysitter’s residence
- A business or parent’s workplace
- After-school centers
- Any address other than the student’s approved residence of record
Parents and guardians are responsible for arranging transportation when a student needs to travel to or from an unapproved location.
Bus Stop Procedures
Students should arrive at their assigned bus stop at least five minutes before the scheduled pickup time. Students should remain in a safe location away from the roadway until the bus arrives and the driver signals that it is safe to board.
Transportation Changes
Transportation change requests must be submitted before 1:00 p.m. This deadline allows the Transportation Department and campus staff enough time to communicate and safely coordinate the change.
Requests submitted after 1:00 p.m. may not be approved or completed on the same day.
All transportation changes are subject to approval by the Transportation Department.
